I saw, for the first time, an exhibition in Amsterdam of one of the most famous (and living) artist in the world: Banksy.

I love his art because it is simple, modern, cheap, direct and easy to understand.

Through common instruments, he uses satirical street art to denounce abuses, social and political corruption.

I was fascinated also with his poor background, his years in prison, his rebellion and the fact that he continues to remain anonymous even if he’s  famous now..very famous.

Probably it’s a strategy to increase the suspence around him and his figure but in a world where appearing is everything, the choice to remain in the dark is wonderful! Another sign of rebellion!
